In an effort to engage CWA members across the Union, The CWA/NETT Academy is providing the courses below for NO COST to CWA members in good standing. All courses below are BEGINNER level and can be completed with any level of technical ability.
For more than 20 years, CWA/NETT has promoted continuing education opportunities to all members, many times a no cost. We rely on great members like yourself to assist us in promoting this program, please share this email.

- Review these beginner courses offered by visiting HERE. You can participate in up to TWO from the list below. (Also offered November 7,2022)

Cisco Networking Essentials
Learn basic networking concepts and skills you can put to use right away. (Upon completion you are ready for the NET+ course)
Cisco Cybersecurity Essentials
Discover the world of cybersecurity and its impact, as you uncover the most common threats, attacks and vulnerabilities. (Upon completion, you are ready for your Security+ learning path)
Cisco Internet of Things
Discover how the Internet of Things is enabling digital transformations across a variety of industries and can expand career opportunities in the future.
Cisco JavaScript Essentials 1
Learn the essentials of JavaScript and computer programming from scratch! (Upon completion, you are ready for Introduction to UNIX)
Cisco NDG Linux Unhatched
Learn basic installation and configuration of Linux software and get introduced to the Linux command line. (Upon completion, you are ready for Introduction to UNIX)
**FEATURED**CompTIA IT Fundamentals Certification
The CompTIA IT Fundamentals (ITF+) exam focuses on the essential IT skills and knowledge needed to perform common IT tasks. These courses help you build these fundamental skills and prepare for CompTIA ITF+ exam objectives, including computer basics, networking, security, and troubleshooting.
Fiber Optics Emergency Restoration
Things happen right! It is how you respond is what matters. Learn fundamental concepts of Emergency Restoration with this short course.
Fiber Optics Fiber Foundations
The road to getting a Fiber Optics Installation begins with this module. Gain an understanding of what Fiber Optics Technology and and how it works.

FCC GROL Certification
(CWA Districts 3,4,7,9 & Telecom/Tech only) A General Radiotelephone Operator License (PG) is required to adjust, maintain, or internally repair FCC licensed radiotelephone transmitters in the aviation, maritime, and international fixed public radio services. Not for the non-technically minded but if you have taken a TKT course you should do well here. CERTIFICATION is for life.
